Franki's Story
Hi, my name is Franki and I’m a sweet girl who needs a person to love. I am 62 lbs, seven-years-young and I look like a Black Lab mixed with some type of scruffy Terrier. I came to SOHF because I needed someone to save my life. You see, I use to have a nervous habit where I chewed my tail incessantly. No matter what the doctor tried, I kept on chewing and injuring my tail. My owner finally made an appointment to have me euthanized at the vet’s office because they were tired of dealing with me and my problem. Thank goodness the nice people at the vet called SOHF and asked them to take me in so I could live. My new vet decided that the best way to solve this issue once and for all was to amputate my tail. I had that surgery and I’m recovering now with a new, cute, nubby rear-end. I still struggle with some general anxiety so I take an inexpensive medication called Prozac every day. It helps calm and regulate me. I would do best in a home where I can follow someone around all day and sleep at their feet at night. I can be crated for a few hours at a time but I would not thrive if I had to be home alone all day/all week. I could be perfect for someone who works from home or someone who is retired and feeling lonely. I am gentle, loyal and loving and I will be wholly devoted to my new human. I currently live with other dogs and quite honestly they get on my nerves. I would be happiest as an only dog but I could probably tolerate a low-energy canine companion if necessary. I really want to get settled and started on the second chapter of my story.

Franki is fully vetted -- spayed, microchipped, heartworm negative and current on vaccinations and deworming. The adoption fee is $300. We accept payment in the form of cash, CashApp and Zelle. You can apply to adopt at www.SOHFGA.com.
