Frank's Story

Meet Frank!

Frank was found abandoned in central Arkansas, where he bravely approached a kind gentleman in search of food and water. Covered in fleas, dirty, and extremely hungry, it was clear this big guy had been through a lot. Despite everything, Frank was incredibly grateful to finally receive love, care, and compassion.

Weighing 98 pounds, Frank is a large, powerful, clumsy dog. He is ball-obsessed and enjoys fetch, though he hasn't mastered bringing the ball back yet. Frank tends to bond strongly with one person, while others in the home are more neutral to him. He is not a dog for first-time owners.

Frank requires a confident, experienced German Shepherd handler who understands the breed and can provide consistent structure, leadership, and a job to do. He knows sit and down, is kennel trained, and potty trained. On walks, Frank pulls on the leash and will need continued training and a physically strong handler due to his size and strength. He is food motivated which is great for training. When excited, he can play a little rough.

Frank is heartworm positive and currently undergoing treatment. He is fully vaccinated, neutered, microchipped, and on heartworm, flea, and tick prevention.

Frank will do best in a home that understands large working breeds and is committed to training him. He is loyal to his person and thrives with clear expectations and routine.
