Meet Fraiser

Please welcome Fraiser to Team CHAAMP. Born October 2019, this 75 lb spunky puppy will be a big boy grown up. Fraiser is so sweet and is really trying to work on his manners. Due to his size, he could have a family with older children.

Fraiser is an example of what NOT to do with Northern Breeds. As we reach temperatures in the high 90's our pups love the AC but need their coats to regulate their body temperatures. Shaving them does not help them stay cooler in the summer.

We are teaching Fraiser "calm" and manners using force-free dog techniques. It's important for puppies to have positive experiences & of course all dogs deserve that!

UPDATE FROM FOSTER FAMILY:

-Fraiser does great in his crate and will not have an accident overnight. He wakes up at different times (5:45am and 6:30am). He goes to sleep between 10:30pm and 11:00pm.

-Fraiser is not super into people's food. He’ll lick plates if you leave them on the counter or table unattended, but doesn’t hover over you while you eat or bother you much when cooking.

-Fraiser responds quickly to training. Needs to work on “sit” and “stay” as a foundation for good behavior, which is tough when you are a puppy.

-With a few walks each day and stuff to chew on (like beef cheeks) he is much calmer!

If you are interested in adopting or fostering this dog, please contact CHAAMP at CHAAMPapplication@gmail.com for an application. You may also complete an application online thru our web site, www.CHAAMP.org

CHAAMP accepts applications ONLY from Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia, and Washington DC. The information on your application will help CHAAMP determine which of our dogs is a good match for you and your family, based upon your lifestyle, other pets, etc. A home visit is required prior to all adoptions. Many of our dogs are fostered in private homes and cannot be visited until you have been approved for adoption.

ADOPTION FEES
~Adult dogs, the fee is $275.00
~Older dogs (eight years old or over) the adoption fee is $100.00
~Puppies between 6 months and 1 year are $350.00
~Puppies under 6 months old are $375.00

All dogs are microchipped, spayed, and neutered and up to date on vaccines. These fees help us cover these costs. The rates are higher for puppies because they require more visits to the vet and shots.

CHAAMP IS NOT A SHELTER. We are volunteers over a 7-state area dedicated to helping Malamutes in our rescue area. You can read more about Malamutes and about CHAAMP by visiting www.CHAAMP.org
