Meet Foxy <br/>Hi, I'm Foxy! I'm a 10-year-old Shepherd mix with an old soul and a heart full of adventure. I may have a few gray hairs, but I still love getting outside for walks and hikes - especially as part of the Rufftail Runners Program here at the Laredo Animal Protective Society (LAPS). My volunteer running buddies say I'm a joy to take out because I walk proudly, love to explore, and keep a steady pace that matches my calm and confident personality.<br/>I was born on July 3, 2015, and adopted as a puppy into a loving home where I spent almost my entire life. In November 2023, I was sadly surrendered back to LAPS. After so many years in a home, adjusting to shelter life hasn't been easy - but I haven't lost my spirit or my love for people. I'm still hopeful that someone out there will give me a second chance to live my golden years surrounded by love.<br/>I'm gentle, affectionate, and full of life. I enjoy walks, car rides, and exploring new places. When the adventure is over, I'm happiest leaning in for pets, belly rubs, or quiet time by your side. I do well with other gentle dogs and cats, and I especially adore kids who treat me with kindness.<br/>Sometimes I can be a little protective of my space - that just means I care deeply about the people I love.
