Forrest - TRAINED DOG's Story
Forrest is a 1yr old Rottweiler currently weighing in at 101lbs. We aquired forrest who a 2x return Palm Beach Animal Care and Control. He origincally came into the shelter at around 7-8 months old --he was just an unruly, untrained puppy!

We adopted Forrest out already 1x but then the wife decided she didn't like shedding. Forest was heartbroken because he loved that home. In that home he lived with teenagers, two adults and a cat! Yes, a cat! They reported his behavior to be excellent.

Since then, Forrest has been back with us at our program pateintly waiting for his forever home. Because he is powerfulbreed, we require breed experience with rotties or other guardien type breeds. Forrest requires an experienced handler who doesn't get intimidated by a sometimes impulsive pushy dog. Forrest can be mouthy and will take advantage of handlers who don't have the confidence to handle him.

Forrest also lives for the ball! He will do anything for a game of fetch. He loves to tug and play. For a rottweiler, he's pretty social. He's not trying to guard space or guard people, he is tolerant and accpeting of new people coming right up to pet him respectfully and will usually lean into new people for pets or play.

His trainer/handler is a very experienced k9 handler -- we're going to be picky when it comes to playing this powerful, handsame dog in a new home. A yard and patience is a MUST.

This dog is currently participating in our prison dog training program in Miami, Florida.

Our dogs become available for adoption upon completion of their training program where they meet all the criteria to pass the following AKC certifications:

1. AKC (American Kennel Club) Canine Good Citizen (CGC)
2. AKC CGC-Advanced
3. AKC Trick Dog Novice

Go ahead, google all that :)

For more information about each of our dogs and our program send us a text to (305) 842-3974 or fill out an application on our website. Once we receive your application, you'll be invited to a zoom interview.

Learn more about our program and fillout an application at www.magiccityk9.org.

Please note that we require all prospective adopters to fill out an application at our website. The message you send through PetFinder (here) is not OUR application, it's an inquiry.
