Forrest's Story

Say hello to Forrest. He is as sweet as him namesake. A teenage boy took him from a suspicious situation to make sure he got the life he deserved. Thanks to that boy, Forrest made his way to one of our volunteers who instantly said "yes" to fostering him. He walked with a limp that she knew needed to be checked out and she was right. Forrest suffered a pelvic fracture sometime in his short little life. But the vet said it was already healing and with rest and proper support he would continue to heal and do great without surgery. And he is doing great. We don't know what happened to cause this injury. We just know that his life is going to be amazing from here on out. He is fostered with other dogs and cats and he loves everyone he meets. His foster mom may be spoiling him :) He is doing great with house and crate training and he is a fast runner and learner. He will be great for a fun active family.
We are estimating he was born about the end of May so he is a typical puppy with typical puppy energy and habits. He weighs about 15 pounds and we are having to guess at his breed mix. We are thinking he will end up being a medium dog.
He will complete his vetting and be ready to travel to his forever home by then end of Sept.
His adoption fee is $399 and if he has to be transported from TN where he is currently fostered there will be an additional $200 fee.
If you are interested in adopting this sweet fella please start by submitting the adopt application at https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/FFRR/Dog

Most of your questions can be answered on our website at funnyfarmpets.org and check us out on FB too

Funny Farm Rescue Ranch's Adoption Policy
Adopters must be 21 or older to adopt. You must start by submitting the application. We then contact the references you list on your application. If you are approved to adopt, we will contact you to conduct a phone interview. Once you are approved we put you in touch with the pup’s foster parent to ensure a perfect match. Most of these pups are still in TN and won’t travel north until their adoptions are finalized. Once everyone is comfortable adopters pay the adoption fee via shelterluv. Then adopters sign an adoption contract. Once the fee is paid and contract is signed, then we schedule the transport. We typically use HEARTS.llc.com to transport our rescued pets to their new homes. Total fees include age appropriate vaccines, tests, spay/neuter, heartworm prevention, flea/tick prevention, microchip, and any other vetting we have deemed necessary and the transport charge. The fees are typically $500-$650 but can vary slightly.

Our Mission
Our mission is to reduce the pet over population problem and mass euthanasia in the south through rescue, spay/neuter, adoption and education. Without our northern angels who choose to adopt these southern sweeties, more of these adorable, innocent animals would end up in landfills.
