FORKY's Story

West Valley Animal Services has a 5 year old pitbull/lab mix named Forks. We are looking for rescue/foster or an adopter for him. He came in with significant scarring on his neck and extremely scared. Once out of his kennel, he showed his goofy self! He adores toys and will pull all of them out of the bin in the yard. He has had successful playdates with both female and male dogs with a proper intro. He is starting to go stir crazy in his kennel. He has been with us since October 16th!!! Here is his bio: Meet Forks, a 5-year-old Pitbull/Lab mix with a big heart, a goofy personality, and the cutest happy-dog energy. When he first arrived, Forks had a noticeable scar on the back of his neck — a quiet reminder that his past wasn’t always kind. But despite that, after a week decompressing, he was able to come out with staff and show a desire to connect with the people around him. Now that he’s comfortable with staff, Forks has fully revealed his silly, playful, lovable side. He’s the kind of dog who makes you smile without even trying. Whether he’s wiggling with excitement or being a total ham for attention, he’s all joy. Forks has some leash reactivity, which looks like barking on leash at other dogs. But he has had success playing with both male and female dogs after a proper intro. He would also do well with dog-savvy kids who understand how to be gentle and respectful with a big, affectionate dog. He’s neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped, and he’s so ready to find the home he’s always deserved — one where he can be cherished, spoiled, and loved for the sweet, goofy boy he is. If you’re looking for a fun, loyal companion with a heart as big as his smile, Forks can’t wait to meet you.
