Forest's Story

What a HUNK!
Found in the public game lands as a stray, Forest knows so many commands it is mind-boggling how or why he was abandoned. You say "sit", "down", "shake" and "speak" and this boy will respond with enthusiasm. Since he knows all that, it is quite likely that he is housebroken, too.

At 64 lbs., this adorable "blockhead" is estimated to be around 5 years old -- in the prime of life. Forest (so named for his auspicious origin?) looks to have the Husky or Malamute attributes...stand-up ears, hunky physique and coloring. Maybe some German Shepherd in the mix? He's a little skinny but that won't be for long and despite the thought that he must have been starving, he takes treats like a gentleman. Even though a kennel is not a home, he is sooo comfortable, safe and has already made some good friends.

You can visit the dogs from noon - 3 pm Saturdays and Sundays, otherwise by appointment. We always recommend submitting an application (and a copy of recent vet records for your current pets if applicable) to info@aradopt.org.

Link to application: https://www.angelridgeanimalrescue.org/wp-content/uploads/2025/02/Dog-Application.pdf
