Ford's Story

My name is Ford, and I’m a four-year-old black lab mix tipping the scales at a robust 64 pounds. Life these days is pretty darn good.

I love car rides. Stick my head out the window and let the wind whip through my fur? Pure bliss. Exploring new places is a very close second. New smells, new sights, new people to greet! Speaking of which, I get a little over-excited when I meet someone new – a little jumpy, I’ll admit. But I calm down quickly, I promise! I’ve met kids before, the 4-9 year old kind, and I was a good boy.

I already know "sit," "down," and "shake." I'm even pretty good with recall, unless a squirrel is involved. Those furry little guys are my kryptonite. Walks are great until a squirrel crosses my path. Then all bets are off. Leash training is still a work in progress.

I haven’t met a cat yet, so that's still a mystery. But I do love my toys! Fetch is my jam, and I could play outside all day!

At night, I sleep by my fosters bed. It's the best feeling in the world. I have a crate, and I use it to eat my special treats, but really, I prefer to be near my person.

Could you be my person?

If you are interested in adopting, please go to our website at www.lolin.org and click on Adopt, Apply for a Dog. From there, you can submit an Adoption Application to be considered for this dog. You MUST be an approved applicant to meet LOLIN dogs. There is no central location or hours to meet dogs.
