FORD's Story

Hi, my name is Ford and I'm available for adoption! I'm a 2yr 1mo old male Pit Bull/Labrador Retriever dog, black/white (ID #A737844). I am considered a large to medium breed dog. I am a silly and energetic boy who has quite the personality! I love to run around the yard and play and am very good at fetch! At RASKC I keep my kennel very clean and am very gentle with my stuffed animals. I am incredibly food motivated and will do just about anything you ask for a treat! This will be very helpful for teaching me new skills! I already know how to sit and wait, but am eager to learn more! I am the sweetest boy and a big 'ole affectionate lovebug who would be thrilled to cuddle up with you at home! I am a big baby and will sit right on you an demand love and scratches. I may be good with other dogs. The person who found me said I was very excited when I saw other dogs! When meeting new dogs a slow introduction is always recommended. If you would like to bring your dog to the shelter to meet me that would be good! I am neutered, current on vaccinations, and microchipped! My adoption comes with many benefits, including 30 days of opt-in pet insurance through Trupanion. I was nominated for Pet of the Week on December 2, 2025. This means that my adoption fee has been reduced! This adoption fee includes a King County pet license (if applicable). This helps my safe return home should I become lost, and comes with additional benefits such as Vacation Pet Alert, Free Ride Home and more (visit our pet licensing page for more info)! If you are looking for an energetic and handsome boy to add to your family and are ready to fall in love with my pawesome self, please come down to RASKC to visit me! You can find out more about me and my other friends on our website at kingcounty.gov/adoptapet. Also look for me on Instagram with #fordkingcountypetsa737844. You can find out more information on our adoption process on our website as well. If you have more questions, you can contact RASKC via phone at 206-296-7387 (PETS) or email pets@kingcounty.gov. If you want to meet me or other pets in person, RASKC is open from noon to 5pm Monday through Friday, and noon to 4pm on Saturday and Sunday. Our address is 21615 64th Ave S, Kent, WA 98032.
