FLUFF's Story
MEET FLUFF! Get ready for 7lbs of marshmallowy sweet, sugary perfection! Fluff is a special little creature brought to us from Boston Animal Control after being found as a stray. She has spent several weeks in foster healing up and is now ready to find her new home. As versatile as her namesake, we think Fluff will fit in just about anywhere. She can take some time to warm up to people and other dogs but has made so many friends here at ARL! Upon examination, Fluff was found to have a mammary mass that was removed by our vet team at the time of spay. Mammary masses are common in unspayed adult female dogs. This patient's mammary tumor was removed and submitted for biopsy, which came back as a malignant (cancerous) tumor. Chest x-rays were completed, which did not show any signs of metastatic disease at this time. Since this patient was spayed later in life, it is possible the additional mammary tumors may appear, the tumor may reoccur locally or that metastatic disease may become apparent as this patient ages. Please speak with a member of our adoption team to learn more. My friends describe me as: Affectionate, Communicative, Friendly Fluff is currently up to date on all vaccinations, has been spayed/neutered, microchipped and seen by our vet team. For more information on Fluff or any other animal currently residing at the Animal Rescue League of Boston, please call us at 617-426-9170. We welcome adopters from NH, RI, CT, and NY. However, we will be unable to facilitate same day adoptions due to state regulated paperwork requirements.
