Floyd's Story
Meet Floyd!
Floyd came into the shelter on July 4th, 2025, found running loose in the City of Alpine. He was adopted but sadly had to return due to the adopter's health, no fault of his own.
Floyd has been a dream dog! He loves rough housing with the younger pups and has no issues walking by other dogs he doesn’t know. He is ecstatic about meeting new people and will never pass a nice petting session. He walks great on a leash and even went on a walk with a big group of volunteers who instantly fell in love with him. He also seems to be potty trained; he will try his best to wait for his walk or yard time opposed to going in his kennel.
This guy loves his treats and toys, especially chew toys. Our staff say that his best characteristics are that he has a great personality and is always happy and smiling. Also, a fun fact, his whole-body wiggles when he greets you, he is excited for whatever is next as long as it is with you!
Come meet Floyd today at the Alpine Animal Services Shelter, 2900 Old Marathon Hwy Alpine, TX 79830.
