Flora's Story
Flora A181256<br/>47 lb. spayed female, approx 2 years old <br/><br/>-Pretty, friendly girl!<br/>-Might be potty trained as she went the minute we got out the back door. But of course that's our best guess and a new home is just that--new! She'll need to learn the routines!<br/>-She is very treatment motivated. Initially she kept jumping up for the snacks but quickly learned four on the floor got her what she wanted. Quick learner!<br/>-She likes to be close for pets<br/>-She awkwardly contorts herself into a pretzel to lay for a belly rub<br/>-Semi interested in toys and briefly played with a stuffy but it lost her interest fairly quickly<br/>-Walks very nicely with minimal pulling<br/>-Seems non reactive to dogs nearby and may do well living with a fur sibling after slow and proper intros <br/><br/>Unknown behavior with dogs/cats/kids <br/><br/>*Meet all of our adoptable pets on our website friendsofdacc.org/adopt <br/><br/>*Please keep in mind that the shelter can be a very stressful environment. <br/><br/>*Studies show that a minimum of 3 days decompression drastically lower stress hormones and allow the dog to show more personality after they have settled in. <br/><br/>*There is a suggested donation of $100 for our dogs, payable by cash, check or through paypal at the time of the adoption. <br/><br/>*To meet them please go to front door and a DACC staff member will assist you with adoption or fostering. <br/><br/>**And when coming to meet one of our dogs, please bring all the humans with you, but leave any current dogs at home. Staff will go over how to slowly and properly introduce them after a decompression period.** <br/><br/>*The shelter is open 7 days a week from 10:30-5:30 <br/><br/>**1431 E Ferry St. Detroit
