Floki's Story

Hi, I'm Floki.
I'm about 3.5 years old, weigh around 70 pounds, and I'm a neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped pointer hound mix.

I'm playful and enjoy having fun, but I also have a mellow, relaxed side. I can be a little nervous when meeting new people at first, especially in busy or unfamiliar settings. Once I feel comfortable, I bond deeply with my people and become incredibly loyal. I tend to gravitate more toward women, but with time and patience, I build trust with everyone.

I do well with other dogs, cats, and kids. I was raised with children and have wonderful manners. I'm house trained, crate trained, and leash trained, and I've done great in both boarding and doggy daycare settings.

A fenced yard would be ideal for me because I love to run, play, and especially splash around in water-it's one of my favorite things. Whether your home is active or laid back, with kids or without, I can adapt well once I feel secure.

I was adopted as a puppy and returned around 3 years old through no fault of my own. Life circumstances changed for my family, and I needed a more stable, better-fitting home. I don't shine in loud, crowded adoption events-I get overwhelmed and would much rather be at home with my people than out meeting lots of new faces. I'm not a social butterfly, but I am a deeply devoted companion.

If you're looking for a well-mannered, loyal dog who forms strong bonds and prefers quality time over crowds, I'm ready to settle into a forever home where I can finally stay.
