Flirt's Story
Flirt was in a high-intake shelter in Texas when the area was ravaged by flood waters. Dogs already in shelters had to be moved out to accommodate those animals who were displaced by the floods but had families waiting for them. When he first arrived at HUA, Flirt was very shy and did not want to interact with humans. Everything made him nervous--the company of the other small dogs was the only thing that motivated him to interact at all.

His roommate was recently adopted, so Flirt was moved into the office where he could be around people in the hopes of him becoming more social. That experiment sure worked, because Flirt now lives up to his name 100%. He is a funny little thing, happy-go-lucky, super snuggly, and bound and determined to get as much as attention from the humans as possible. The little ninja even snuck out the front door to accompany his caregiver home. This adorably tiny six-pounder has many, many friends now, and he loves each and every one.

Visit Flirt at www.hua.org!
