Flash's Story

Have you ever seen a more gorgeous Pomeranian? Meet Flash, the tiny blonde heartthrob who looks like a movie star but feels more like a shy understudy. He’s around 6 years old and came to the shelter with no blanket, no bed, no toy, and—worst of all—no buddy. So yes, he’s a little scared. Wouldn’t you be?

Flash is housebroken but still suspicious of the dog door, so keep an eye out when he trots over with purpose. His kennel is his safe zone, and he’ll zip there whenever life feels confusing. After three weeks, he finally barked—and honestly, it’s adorable. He walks nicely on a short leash right next to his person, but until he trusts you, he may bolt. A slip lead plus leash and harness is the safest combo.

Is he cuddly? Not yet, but he’s warming up and allows short sessions of petting his luxurious fur. He sleeps quietly in his kennel and will use a potty pad if one’s by the door. Flash gets along with other dogs, hasn’t met cats, and would likely run from kids. A securely fenced yard is non negotiable.

Someone loved Flash once, and he’s longing for someone to love him again. Is he a project? Absolutely. Is he worth it? Completely. He needs a patient human who’s home often and willing to take the time to help a diamond in the rough shine.

Flash is neutered, heartworm negative, vaccinated, and microchipped.
