Meet Fiver! Fiver is a 2-3 year old neutered German Shepherd mix who was pulled from a high kill animal shelter when his time was almost up. He had already almost given up, but when he realized he was sprung he came back to life!<br/><br/>Fiver has an absolutely lovely personality, and would most likely excel as a therapy dog, or just be someone’s best friend. He’s pretty indifferent to other dogs, but he can be dominant in the right situation, so he would be best with other dogs who truly don’t care about the hierarchy. He could also do very well as an only dog (no cats tho). He’s currently enrolled in training with Cat’s Canine Academy and already excels in all obedience. His adoption fee includes 2 lessons to learn to work with him! He is heartworm positive (being treated by the slow kill method). All that is required is heartworm prevention twice a month as opposed to once a month until he tests negative. He has had absolutely no symptoms except the positive heartworm test, so it does not affect him at all and will be totally cured. This is an absolutely lovely, well behaved dog who deserves to be with someone who wants a true best friend!<br/><br/>He plays some, but he really enjoy walks. Not at all high energy, so he would do well with someone who just likes to hang out and go for walks on occasion.
