If you’re willing to put in the time, she’s willing to give you a chance. <br/>**Please call to schedule an appointment to meet Firecracker.**<br/><br/>Firecracker is a 3 ½ year old female German Shepherd mix who came to us as a stray from the Washington County Gamelands. <br/>While she’s still learning that humans aren't so bad, once she trusts you its game over - she blossoms into the best Velcro dog anyone could ask for! She often gives her favorite people hugs and shows her excitement with bum-wiggling zoomies, wanting nothing more than to spend her day with them. <br/><br/>Despite being wary of new people, Firecracker is very energetic, strong, and loves to play. Her favorite toys have squeakers, but she’ll play with anything, especially stuffies! She enjoyed romping in the recent snow; burying her face and blowing snow like a whale spouts water and her snow-zoomies were Oscar worthy. She’s a water-dog, too, looking forward to warm weather and playing in the puppy pool. We couldn’t keep her out of it last summer! <br/><br/>To help this young lady open up to more people, she has regular dates with a trainer. It’s hard to tell who enjoys these session more, the trainer or Firecracker. Because she loves to “work” almost as much as she loves to play, Firecracker would benefit from a family that will work with her, teaching her new cues, and reviewing those she already mastered. Firecracker is already crate trained.<br/><br/>Firecracker has very strong opinions about what she likes and doesn’t like. She does NOT like cats, other dogs, the vet. <br/><br/>Firecracker would need to be the only pet in an adult only home. She would also need to meet all members of the home (and those who visit regularly) before she could go home.
