Meet Fiona! 1 year Old | Pitbull Mix | Spayed & Microchipped | Cuddle Queen in Training Fiona is a sweet, smart, and affectionate pup who’s come a long way since her rescue. She’s still learning the ropes—but she’s eager to please and loves her people! What Fiona Does Best: • Master of Sit, Shake, Lay Down, and Name Recall • Crate trained (though she’d rather cuddle in bed with you!) • Housebroken—no accidents after completing her meds • Affectionate and snuggly, with the perfect goofy side • Loves learning new things and is food motivated at home Things We’re Working On: • Dog reactivity—Fiona gets overstimulated around other dogs, especially in public. However we have found this is her way of saying she wants to play • Professional 1:1 training will be needed to help her work through leash reactivity and dog introductions over time. Her Perfect Home: • A family willing to invest in continued training • Someone home more often than not—Fiona thrives on human connection • A commitment to help her succeed, not give up when it gets hard Fiona has so much love to give, and she’s already conquered so much of her rough start. At Fluffy Butts Rescue, our goal is to ensure every dog finds the perfect forever home. We take thoughtful steps to match our rescued dogs with families who are ready, willing, and able to provide a lifetime of love and care. Adoption Policies: • All adopters must be at least 21 years old. • A completed Adoption Application is required before meeting any available dog. • A home check (virtual or in-person) may be conducted to ensure a safe environment. • All current pets in the adopter’s household must be spayed/neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, and on heartworm prevention unless medically exempt. • Adopters must agree to keep their adopted dog as an indoor, family companion. • Adopters must be willing to return the dog to Fluffy Butts Rescue if unable to keep them at any point. How We Vet Potential Adopters: • Application Review: We carefully read each application to assess the home, lifestyle, and preferences. • Veterinary References: We check current or past vet references to ensure responsible pet care. • Personal References: We may contact listed references for insight on the adopter’s experience with animals. • Home Visit: We conduct a home visit (or require photos/videos) to ensure the environment is safe, secure, and appropriate for the dog’s needs. • Adoption Interview: Our team may ask additional questions to ensure the best possible match for both the adopter and the dog. Adoption Trials: • Some adoptions are eligible for a Foster-to-Adopt Trial, allowing a two-week adjustment period before finalization.
