Fiona is a very sweet 8 month old Lab/Border Collie, around mix 46 lbs, who would be good with any family...young or old. She would be fine in a house or an apartment. She's very dog friendly but is still shy around new people. Once she gets comfortable with them though she's all love! She doesn't like crates at all. They stress her out. But the good news is she's housetrained and hasn't been destructive in her foster home while they've been gone. She'd like a home where someone is home more than not and really wants dog siblings to pal around with. She is spayed, up to date on shots and heartworm tested negative. Paws 4 the Cause is an all volunteer "no kill" rescue. We do not harm animals, but the more we can adopt out, the more we can take in. We take in the hardest cases, dogs and cats that are close to death or starvation. The adoption fee barely covers a fraction of what we spend. Our average animal costs about $200 for the first month in food and vet fees, and approx. $50 per month thereafter. All donations are used to pay directly for animal food and vet expenses. There are no employee or overhead expenses.
