Finn is a 30 pound bundle of emotion, fluff, and quiet resilience. <br/><br/>At 5 years old, he’s been through more than most dogs ever should and we’re urgently searching for a foster or forever home to keep him safe. <br/><br/>His current foster can no longer keep him, and returning to the shelter is not an option for him. Every time Finnegan has been in a kennel environment, he mentally shuts down. His anxiety escalates quickly, he begins to self harm, and we fear deeply for his wellbeing.<br/><br/>Despite his rough journey, Finnegan has made tremendous progress through medication, training, and the love of his foster.<br/><br/>He still has some behavioral challenges and off days, just like we all do, but he has lots of great days too.<br/><br/>He has shown us his heart: he loves to sing, adores being outside, and food is absolutely the way to his soul. He’s on lifelong medications and will need someone who understands that healing takes time and compassion.<br/><br/>Finnegan’s ideal home includes:<br/>• ? Low-traffic environment<br/>• ? No children<br/>• ? A quiet, patient household with experienced dog owners<br/>• ? A commitment to ongoing training and care<br/><br/>He doesn’t need to be an only pet, but he does need space, understanding, and a calm environment where he can continue to grow.<br/><br/>And yes—he’s a hairy boy! His coat grows quickly and will need regular grooming to keep him comfortable and looking his best.<br/><br/>To support his transition, our trainer will provide a free session once he’s in a new home. We know this is a big ask but we also know that the right person can change Finnegan’s world.<br/><br/>Please help us keep Finnegan out of the shelter and in a place where he can feel safe, loved, and understood.
