Finn's Story

If you’re interested, please fill out an application at diggs4dogs.com.
Adoption Fee: $150

Finn is a handsome neutered German Shepherd born March 17, 2023, and currently located in Delta, Utah. He weighs about 60 pounds and is an intelligent, interactive dog who thrives when he has structure, activity, and a person to bond with. Finn has been with his family since he was a puppy and is house trained, kennel trained, and knows several commands including heel, kennel, sit, shake, lay down, and find.

Finn has an average energy level but really shines when he has something to do. He enjoys daily walks, running with his family’s older child, playing at the park, and spending time outdoors. He has a playful personality and thinks he’s a lap dog despite his size. Finn loves chasing butterflies and bird shadows, pouncing like a fox when the ground is tapped, and playing fetch—though he sometimes struggles with bringing the item back. He also has a funny love for rocks and ice cubes.

Finn lives outside in a kennel during the day and sleeps inside at night. He does well being kenneled and has no destructive habits. Around adults he is alert but not tense or reactive, and while he may bark initially at visitors, he settles once he understands they are not a threat.

Finn’s family is rehoming him due to ongoing territorial issues between him and another male dog in the home after a female dog was introduced. Because of this, Finn would do best as the only dog in the home where he can have his own space and avoid resource guarding situations with other animals. He has done well around other dogs during training and on walks, but inside the home with shared resources he struggles with another male. He would likely do best with older children and a calmer household rather than one with very young kids or constant stimulation.

Finn is very affectionate, interactive, and eager to be involved with his people. With the right home—one that offers consistency, exercise, and attention—he will make an excellent running, hiking, and adventure companion.

If you’re interested, please fill out an application at diggs4dogs.com.
