Finn's Story

Finn is just a cool dude. He is exactly who they're talking about when people say that dogs are your "best friend."

Just because he's an adult dog and he's in rescue doesn't mean he has baggage or issues. To the contrary, actually. He's a really good guy who has found himself in need of a home.

First, the doggie demographics: He is 2 years old and weighs 58 pounds, and he's a Staffordshire Terrier/Red Heeler mix.

Now, the fun stuff about our best boy. Finn loves his person(s) and is happiest when you are doing whatever you do. His company is the optimistic, reassuring kind of company - not too clingy or needy. Are you headed to check on the laundry? Finn wants to know if it's ready, too. Going to the table to open your computer and crank out some emails? Finn knows you do your best work when he's laying at your feet or snoring - sorry Finn, we mean "deep breathing" - in his dog bed. Sitting down to relax at the end of the day? Finn will help himself to your lap, or to that cozy dent in the cushion right next to you.

He knows sit, down, stay and kennel, and he'll do almost anything you say when there's a yummy treato involved. He's also good on the leash and enjoys a nice walk. You'll be able to train him quickly, between his smarts and his love for treats. He also loves a good chew toy.

Finn gets along great with other dogs and plays with his foster dog siblings. He'd be equally happy to have a person or three or four who dote on him without another canine buddy, too, though. He hasn't met a cat yet.

He sleeps all night in his crate, and he's not a super early riser; his foster family often has to wake him up in the morning, lol. He is both house-trained and crate-trained.

When he's in play mode, he might be a bit too rambunctious for small children. But he'd love a kid playmate who is ready to roll with him. He'll make endless friends, no doubt.

Finn is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and current on heartworm/flea/tick preventatives. His adoption fee is $175. You've gotta meet him! Apply to adopt him at PawsitiveTailsKC.org, and his foster will be in touch to set up a meeting once you're approved.

APPLY @ PawsitiveTailsKC.org

Pawsitive Tails's Adoption Policy
Pawsitive Tails is dedicated to matching the needs and personality of our dogs with your family. We are not in a hurry to adopt out our dogs; we want to make sure the match is perfect for everyone. All of the dogs in our rescue live in foster homes with both the human and furry members of our families. Our adoption process begins with an application which can be found under the "adopt" tab on our website, www.pawsitivetailskc.org. Please complete the form in full; the questions we ask help us to fully understand what type of dog you are looking for, and to make sure you get the very best fit. Incomplete applications will not be processed. If you do not include a vet phone number, a landlord phone number (if applicable), or 3 complete references, we cannot process your application. We will contact your Veterinarian, so please make sure to call them to release your vet history to our volunteer. &nbs
