Finn's Story

Meet Finn – A Sweet, Playful boy! He is a scruffy Cairn/Schnauzer terrier mix estimated to be about two years old, and weighs 21 lbs. He was red listed in a California kill shelter so he had limited time left.

Finn is currently being fostered in California and will be joining us in the next couple of weeks. We are currently accepting applications for him.

Finn may be shy when you first meet him, but once he feels safe and comfortable, his adorable personality really begins to shine! This sweet boy has come out of his shell in a loving foster home and is showing just how affectionate and loving he can be. Looks like he had a rough start in life, but he has discovered life is good!

Finn is very dog-friendly and loves to play with his canine friends. He plays gently with smaller dogs. Finn has a fun, playful nature without being hyper, making him a lovely companion for a home that enjoys a little playtime balanced with plenty of cuddles. He also loves hopping around with his toys and sharing his affection with his favourite people. One of Finn’s cutest habits is giving hugs by wrapping his front legs around you, followed by lots of sweet kisses!

Finn is a quiet little fellow who rarely barks, and he is making great progress with his house manners. He is eating well and doing nicely with crate training. He is still learning about the big world beyond his home and will need a patient adopter who can help him gain confidence with leash walking at his own pace.

Because Finn can be shy initially, he will do best with someone who understands that trust takes time. Once he feels secure, you’ll discover a loving, playful and cuddly companion who is eager to share his heart. He shows no aggression, he’s just timid in new situations and with new people. He is gaining confidence every day.

We haven’t tested Finn with cats yet, so his compatibility with feline friends is still unknown.

Included in Finn’s adoption :

-neuter surgery

-one set of vaccinations

-deworming

-flea and tick meds

-a veterinarian examination

-leash and harness

-microchip and a lifetime membership

-courtesy drop off/pick up at Tswassassen ferry terminal to approved adopters

-2 week trial adoption

A home visit and references are part of our adoption process.
We are an established BC Non Profit Society committed to saving homeless small dogs and finding them loving homes in BC.

If you would like to apply for Finn’s adoption here is our application below. You will be connected by our adoption coordinator within a few days if you are a good match for his personality.

https://forms.gle/WrvDCJErM6mRzHo28
