Finn's Story

FINN (Male)

Pit Mix | DOB: 1/1/2024 | Approx. 1 year old | High Energy
Living at our shelter in Pembroke, MA | Available for foster or adoption

Finn is a handsome young pit mix who came to rescue after wandering the streets of Duxbury and being brought in by the ACO. At just a year old, he’s full of youthful energy, but don’t be fooled, Finn is also a world-class snuggle bug who loves affection and human connection.

Since arriving at the shelter, Finn’s behavior has been great. He’s lovable, affectionate, and has quickly settled into solid routines. He can get excited at times (as young dogs often do), but he’s shown the ability to regulate well. On walks, Finn may approach and sniff other kennels, but he does not become overstimulated and remains responsive.

Finn would do best in an adults-only home. While we’re still learning more about him, we believe teenagers and up may be appropriate. Finn is not a candidate for a home with cats or other dogs and will need to be the only pet in the household so he can thrive and receive focused guidance and structure.

Finn is a joyful, affectionate young dog with a lot of potential. With continued routine, exercise, and positive reinforcement, he’s ready to build a strong bond with the right foster or adopter.

To be considered, an application must be submitted at: https://buddyandfriendsma.org/adopt
