Finn's Story
(Written by Finn’s INCREDIBLE foster parents!)

Meet Finn!

Finn was abandoned in a rural area of Tulare County on April 22. The occupant at the home fed Finn outside her fenced yard and Finn adopted his current foster parent when they were visiting at the home about three weeks later. Finn is extraordinarily friendly and affectionate to all he meets.

Our best guess is that Finn is 5 months old, weighs 39 pounds and is a German Shepherd/Husky mix. At a recent visit, the vet estimated his adult weight at 60-70 pounds. Finn is with us in Aptos and is well socialized, creating a strong bond with our 6-year-old mini–Australian Shepherd.

Finn is a very mellow puppy—a hit with kids (he has interacted with many kids, some as young as three), adults and other dogs and is appropriately assertive without being aggressive. Finn is an instant hit on dog walks due to appearance and demeanor. He alerts to squirrels and birds and has seen a cat from about 50 feet and did not approach. Finn is an infrequent barker and does not jump up on people.

Finn would make a great pet for families with children and other dogs, preferably a larger dog to match his playful exuberance. In all honesty, this is one remarkable pup.

Finn will provide joy and love for years to come and deserves to find his happily ever after -- could it be with you?

Please complete a foster application today in order to meet this great dog!
