Feta's Story
I am in a foster home and not at the shelter. If you are interested in adopting, submit an adoption questionnaire by email. Learn more hereMeet Feta: all the puppy joy, none of the hassle

Feta is a 6-month-old, 55 pound mixed-breed male who is still a puppy, but already past the hardest part. You get the love, playfulness, and goofy charm of a young dog—without the sleepless nights, frequent accidents, or full-time puppy management.

Feta is already house trained, crate trained, sleeps through the night, knows “sit,” "down" and. "paw." He’s making good progress with leash walking, and “stay.” His strong food motivation makes training efficient and rewarding. In other words: the foundation is in place, and progress comes quickly.

Feta is medium energy and even-tempered—happy to play fetch with a ball or stuffie, but not frantic or overwhelming. When playtime is done, he’s content to settle and be near his people. He truly wants to be part of the household rhythm and thrives on connection with both humans and dogs.

Feta can be a little cautious with strangers and does best with slow, respectful introductions to new people and dogs. With structure and patience, he settled beautifully In his foster home. He’s a loving little brother to the resident female staffie and happily snuggles with her in the crate. Every morning, he greets his foster family with a stuffie and is always up for a cuddle or a game of fetch.

Good to know: Feta is very interested in small animals—especially birds—so a home without cats or other small pets is recommended.

He could be a great match for a family with elementary-school-aged kids who understand appropriate dog interactions. At his age, training, bonding, and confidence-building pay off fast—and Feta is clearly ready for that next step.

Bottom line: Feta is the rare find—young enough to bond deeply and grow with you, old enough to spare you the worst puppy headaches. If you want puppy love with a head start, Feta is your guy.

Interested in learning more?
