Fester's Story

Fester was found on the streets of San Antonio, Texas with his Mum. This boy has a lot of personality and energy but is a good boy, quiet- doesn't bark much, and will make a great medium size family dog. Fester loves a good chew, squeaky toys, treats and meal times. He has gone on vacation and did great staying at the hotel- everyone loved him!

Fester is good with other dogs, cats (currently living with both) and loves kids. He has a cat foster brother and they sit together all the time. He currently goes on several walks and to the dog park twice daily- he's a playful boy who loves to run and play chase and he plays so well with other dogs. He needs to get some running in daily or he becomes a whiney baby and might not be as much of a good boy.

Fun fact: his foster says she's never seen a more intrusive dog That probably means VELCRO! She says he always tries to get in every situation- kind of like a nosy, annoying person but it's cute because it's Fester and he's cute. No barking or biting, just super nosy

Fester is good on the leash. He will go in the kennel on his own with the door open. He's potty trained, just needs to be taken out often, but he's never had had an accident in his foster home. Fester jumps in the car on his own and loves a car ride. He comes when called unless distracted with play.

Fester is ready to go with vaccinations up to date and already neutered.

Fester is being fostered in San Antonio, Texas, awaiting your request to join you up in his new furever home in Colorado.

Red Fern Animal Rescue offers a two week foster to adopt trial in your home before finalizing the adoption to ensure the animal is the right fit for you, everyone in the home, human & animal, and vice versa.

Red Fern Animal Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit foster-based animal rescue in Denver that saves animals from abandonment and neglect in South Texas for new lives in Colorado. We primarily rescue dogs off the streets and from kill shelters in San Antonio.
