Ferris's Story

Ferris is an unknown mix thought to be a collie/setter/ pointer type mix. He was adopted by his current family on 4/1/23 and after much work, training and thoughtful consideration, they have decided that he would live his best life in an atmosphere different from theirs. He lives with two older, calmer dogs and two children (ages 9 & 12). When it comes to the other dogs, he constantly wants to play with them and they found that his energy was a bit much for everyone to handle. They love him but have made the very hard decision of finding him a home that would be a better fit for him. We feel Ferris will thrive with an active owner that is able to dedicate their time to him with fun activities and hikes.

Ferris is very food motivated and eager to learn. He has been through an intensive board and train program where he learned his basics and was e-collar trained. He is very loving and very high energy. This boy can run!! (hence the e-collar training which has been amazing for him!) He is crate trained and potty trained and comes with a life time of support from his trainer to help him settle in to his new home with ease.

Ferris has a few quirks that with the right owner, are manageable. He does best on walks that are structured and we feel he would do best in a home as the only dog or in an experienced home that appreciates an active and high energy dog.

The application process for Ferris includes a free consultation with his trainer to ensure the best possible fit for him.
