Fernie's Story

Meet Fernie a beautiful 2-3 yr old mixed breed girlie. Fernie is sweet and loving. She loves all dogs. She is so sweet she lies down to meet the little dogs.

Fernie was found tied up at ACCT in Philadelphia. She was extremely emaciated and had ingested a toy. Fernie weighed 53 lbs. It was discovered that Fernie could not absorb protein and had to be on a special diet. Since then, Fernie has gained almost 40lbs. Fernie will have to stay on this diet for the rest of her life otherwise she will lose all her weight.

Fernie needs a home where someone is home mostly. Fernie loves other dogs and does well with them. We are asking for a house with kids over 12. Fernie has been known to eat stuffed animals. We don't want her to do that again.

Fernie loves to go on walks, rides nicely in the car, and is totally reliable in the house. Fern as come such a long way and is ready to find her forever home. She is one sweet gentle lady.

PLEASE NOTE: While this Lab may not be available for adoption by the time you complete the adoption process, other great Labs are always finding their way into our Rescue.

For more information on this Lab, please contact info@brooklinelabrescue.org.

If you are interested in adopting this Lab or any other Lab from our Rescue, please visit our Web site, brooklinelabrescue.org, for more information on our adoption process.
