He’s happiest right by your side, helping with whatever "important task" he thinks you’re working on.<br/><br/>Fernando is still working on his potty training and on feeling comfortable when left alone, so he’ll thrive with someone patient, consistent, and home more often than not. The good news? He loves training and is already learning "gentle," "drop," "leave it," "fetch," and "stay." His clumsy, oversized-puppy moments are part of his charm, and he’s making wonderful progress with taking treats more softly and practicing good manners.<br/><br/>Fernando would enjoy a backyard to stretch his legs in—but it isn’t a requirement. He’s a superstar in the car and will happily be your road-trip buddy. When it comes to other animals, he’s a bit hit-or-miss, so he’s looking for a home where he can be the only pet. He would do best in an adult-only (18+) home without children or frequent child visitors, though families may be considered on a case-by-case basis if it’s the right fit.<br/><br/>If you’re looking for a loyal best friend, a willing student, and a big-hearted companion who’s equal parts silly and sweet, Fernando is ready to be your one and only.
