Fern's Story

We've all experienced the comfort of a favorite stuffed animal by our side. So true for Fern snuggled up with her very own Velveteen Rabbit in her snug as bug in a rug cubbyhole. This photo says it all about Fern. She prefers her spot to be just as you see it. Bed, blanket nestled in a crate where she can be both part of and apart from the household action. The best home for our mini beagle would be a home with another dog or a quiet adult home that has a fenced yard. Fern doesn't care much for being on a leash. Although she'll probably one day come around to loving the opportunity to be out and about if her owner has the patience to help her overcome her resistance. Walking with another dog would be a plus. So let's say at this point a City life would not suit her needs. She loves to be held by someone she feels safe and comfortable with. Her temperament is gentle and for a Beagle she's quiet - VERY QUIET. We say adult home to reduce the chance of a door being left open too long - if she got out she'd take flight in a panic. Great little dog in general. She's located in the Hackettstown area Exit 19 off Route 80. email auntmarysdoghouse@yahoo.com
