Fern

Fern is a tiny, six-pound Chihuahua with the most adorable ears. This little girl is timid and unsure after being surrendered to a local shelter by her family. She’s getting more comfortable and confident in her foster home but she will thrive in a quiet home environment. Fern’s favorite spot is beside her humans, or better yet, in someone’s lap. She gently nudges you to ask for petting and then rolls over on her back to beg for belly rubs. Once you make friends with Fern she’s totally devoted to you. Fern is good with other small dogs but she doesn’t care for cats. They seem to scare her and she will bark at them. Fern hasn’t learned to walk on a leash yet so she needs a securely fenced yard at this time. We may edit this requirement if she eventually masters leash walking with her foster mom. <br/><br/>Fern is fully vetted -- spayed, microchipped, heartworm negative and current on vaccinations and deworming.
