Fern's Story

Looks like: Border Collie mix
Female, 5 years old (estimated), 53 pounds

Fern is looking for a home that will give her lots of exercise - a couple of runs daily would be ideal. If you are looking for a running or hiking buddy, Fern would love to be your gal.

Fern has an active mind. She is learning the difference between what she is allowed to play with and what is off limits. She is very good at entertaining herself by dragging large dog beds around the house. She loves other dogs, and she is intrigued by cats, but doesn't hurt them.

People outside of her usual pack are scary. She is skittish in places she doesn't know and jumps at sudden sounds. She currently lives in a remote area and will likely adjust once she has more positive experiences.

Fern was found as a stray in a rural area of Monterey County, and sadly no one came looking for her. We can't wait for this beautiful girl to bond with her people and blossom in time!
