Fergus's Story

Even a broken leg and a snow storm could not keep this darling little guy down ... in fact, if anyone could turn misfortune into opportunity, it is Fergus. By the time he found help, only his little tail was still a thumping, but it showed he was a fighter and so, on his behalf, we campaigned for his his leg and therefore his future. Although very frustrated with his restrictions of cage rest as the sun started to shine again, Fergus was willing to negotiate continued cage rest as long as he was kept busy with a regularly restocked busy buddy bristle bone. Ferg is now completely healed and has no restrictions ... And he loves to run and play. Ferg is housebroken and crate trained, eager to please, and ready for someone to fall in love with him. He LOVES other dogs, people of all ages, and thinks cats are fun too but most don't appreciate his exhuberance for life! He would make an excellent running partner and he loves the dog park! Poor Fergus just needs someone who will give him a chance, he spent his puppyhood recovering from his injuries and in the shelter/fosters, etc...he needs someone that is willing to invest some time into him to help him become the best dog he can be. Fergus is now about a year old, approx 40lbs, is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and he is on monthly heartworm and flea preventative.
e-mail us at adoptionscc@yahoo.com if you are interested in adopting or meeting Fergus.
CURRENTLY AT DELAWARE COUNTY HUMANE SOCIETY
