Fergus Shiba Inu Omaha, NE

Meet our sweet Fergus! He is an adorable 16 lb, 7 month old, male purebred Shiba Inu. He and his littermates came to our rescue after being surrendered to an overcrowded shelter by a puppy mill. Although he is still a bit timid with humans due to a lack of proper socialization, he is getting better each day and you can see his strong desire to be loved. He will let you pick him up and cuddle him. Fergus is now housebroken, sleeps all night in his crate, and is a fairly quiet boy. He loves toys and playing in the fenced in yard with his furry foster siblings. Once Fergus learns to trust you and is comfortable, he will make a wonderful companion! We will REQUIRE a FENCE and at least ONE RESIDENT DOG in the adopter's home, so that he can continue to gain confidence and thrive. Older children in the home are fine and he really seems to enjoy them actually, but a family without toddlers is preferred. Cat friendly. Fergus is neutered, up to date on vetting and vaccines, microchipped, and ready to meet his forever family! His adoption donation fee is $375.

We do not have a facility. All of our animals are in volunteer foster homes. Once an application is pre-approved (contingent upon a home check) we will contact applicants that are a good match and set up a time for a meet. At that time we are happy to answer all of your questions. No inquiries prior to that please. All of our animals are spayed/neutered, examined by a vet, up-to-date on vaccinations, on heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, and microchipped. We adopt our animals as strictly inside companion pets. We will do a veterinarian reference check and a home safety check. We are located in Omaha, NE and we do not ship our animals. We are all volunteers so please be patient with us. Our requested adoption fees help go towards medical expenses, food, transportation, toys, and other supplies for our animals. We are a state licensed, 501c3 nonprofit rescue and the adoption donation may be tax deductible for you.
