Meet Fergie!<br/><br/>We're so excited to introduce Fergie, a beautiful young pup who recently arrived in our program from our rescue partner in Mexico, outside of Puerto Vallarta. She's now settling into life with her temporary foster family in the greater Portland area, and her sweet, joyful personality is already shining through.<br/><br/>Fergie came to us after a challenging start in life. Like many dogs rescued from the streets, she likely experienced inconsistency and uncertainty early on. Despite that, she has shown remarkable resilience and an incredibly loving spirit. With each passing day, her confidence grows, and her affectionate, playful nature continues to blossom.<br/><br/>Fergie is a bright, precious girl who truly enjoys being part of the action. She loves engaging with her people, exploring her surroundings, and learning new things. Continued guidance, structure, and enrichment will help her thrive.<br/><br/>***Foster Family Update!***<br/><br/>She has been taking 40-minute walks with us and our other dogs and us at full speed with enthusiasm. She is walking on a leash and is crate-trained. She is also getting along fine with our 2 other big dogs!***<br/><br/>***Medical Update for Fergie***<br/><br/>Fergie is still very new to our program, having arrived in Oregon not long ago from our rescue partners in Mexico. As she continues to settle into her foster home, we're learning more about her needs and giving her time to decompress and show us who she truly is.<br/><br/>We were informed by our partners that prior to coming into rescue, Fergie experienced an injury while she was still in Mexico. While the exact circumstances and timing aren't known, it appears she sustained a hip injury (broken hip) that healed on its own without surgical intervention. As a result, she does have some limited use of one of her back legs, though she continues to get around well and remains in good spirits.<br/><br/>We'll continue to share updates as we learn more, and we're grateful for the patience and compassion of those following her journey. Fergie is still very new to our program, having arrived in Oregon not long ago from our rescue partners in Mexico. As she continues to settle into her foster home, we're learning more about her needs and
