Fergie's Story

This sweet girl is Fergie. She came to Colorado in September and has been thriving in her foster home! She's 1 year old and weighs in at a solid 62 lbs. We don't think she'll get much bigger.

Originally hailing from Roswell, NM, Fergie and her siblings arrived here with minimal socialization skills. Fergie is currently in foster with multiple dogs and is doing excellent learning new skills from them and her foster. Initially, she can present as shy or timid, but she warms up with a few treats, a doggie buddy nearby, and patience from her person. Her foster says Fergie can be quite goofy too and it's been fun to watch her evolve and blossom.

Fergie has lived in foster with multiple other dogs and has been around cats under supervision. She's too interested in cats so we recommend she not live with them. She does love having another dog around so much that another friendly dog is required in Fergie's new home. She's very playful and interested in following her fur buddies around. She's a quick learner, eager to please, and is waiting for the right family to continue to show her how exciting new adventures can be.

Fergie is potty trained, crate-trained and is great on the leash. She loves to find a cozy spot or sunny spot for naps. She's a huge fan of toys like Benebones and enjoys treat filled Kongs. She's food motivated so she's easily trainable and is already learning some new tricks in foster. She has mastered the art of walking on a leash and getting in and out of the car. As a medium-energy pup, Fergie is equally happy cuddling up at home, romping around in a yard, or exploring the great outdoors on hikes and nature walks.

Fergie's ideal home would be with a fun family, with another dog, and in a somewhat quieter home that will give her time to adjust to new things. Overall, she's a really easy going and wonderful dog. We just know her perfect home and family is out there!

To inquire about adopting Fergie, please apply at https://www.fromforgottentoforever.com/adoptionapplication/
