Faysal

Meet Faysal, a sweet 5 year old Canaan dog with a gentle, intuitive nature. Faysal was rescued from the West Bank with his brother (Farouk) and 70 others when the sanctuary he was living at was forced to be shut down. He may be a bit shy when first meeting new people, but once he feels the warmth of your affection, he'll lean in and show his appreciation. When his foster family comes home, Faysal expresses his joy with a heartfelt, mournful howl that reveals just how much he cherishes their presence. Faysal loves taking walks around the neighborhood where, he enjoys sniffing out new smells and exploring his surroundings. While he's living with two hound mixes, his brother Farouk and two children aged 9 and 11, Faysal can be hesitant around other dogs and will need slow introduction to new canine friends. Faysal is potty trained and will sit for treats and meals. Though we're not sure about his reaction to cats, Faysal has a playful side and enjoys chasing squirrels in his foster family's backyard. With a bit of patience and lots of love, Faysal will undoubtedly be a loyal and affectionate companion.
