Faye's Story

Faye and her sister Raven were trapped by our Animal Control Officers many months ago when they were discovered in a small patch of woods. These sisters were best described as semi-feral and spent many weeks pressed against the back of their kennel with little to no desire to interact with humans. Staff persevered and took baby steps in forming a bond of trust with them. It paid off!
They not only look forward to seeing us each day, but actively seek our attention, learned to walk on lead, climb steps and even learned some basic commands. They conquered so many of their fears and we are super proud of our brave girls!

These girls can still be weary of strange faces but with treats and baby talk they recover. Slow and steady wins the race with them.

Staff has tackled the hardest part of their rehabilitation, now we need YOU to open your heart and home with a very deserving girl.

Their ideal home should have another dog, older children and the patience to teach them how to live inside a home. Crate training and housebreaking are at the top of the list of things to learn.
Both dogs are great with other dogs. No cats please.
