Fawn's Story
Looking for a ride-or-die best friend? Fawn is ready to choose you.

Fawn is a 1.5-year-old pitbull who bonds hard with her person and takes the role of best friend very seriously. She can be a little clingy once she picks “her human,” and while she may be selective about new people and dogs at first, she does great once she's had time to settle and feel safe.

This girl hasn't had an easy start to life. She was pregnant, abandoned, left to care for her five puppies on her own, and was nearly euthanized before rescue stepped in. Because of that, Fawn prefers to coexist with other dogs rather than have them in her face — totally fair after being such a protective mama. She may thrive as an only dog or with a calm, respectful canine companion.

Fawn isn't a fan of young kiddos and would do best in a home with older kids or adults only. What she does love?

Car rides (errands, park trips, adventures — she's in)

Stuffed toys and big bones

Serious cuddling (10/10 cuddle score)

Sleeping with her person and keeping them “safe”

She's loyal, affectionate, and deeply devoted once she trusts you. If you're looking for a soul-dog who will choose you every single day, Fawn might be your girl.

If you are interested in adopting, please visit our website and complete an adoption application at www.elpasocountycanine.org/adopt
