Fawn's Story

Meet Fawn! He is a 9 year old, male neutered chihuahua. Fawn lived his entire life with one woman and a kitty. As you can imagine, he is very partial to women because of this. He also is very shy and it has taken him weeks to show his foster momma attention. We now know he would also be fine with other low key dogs.

When Fawn's original owner found out she was sick in 2020, she sent us a lovely handwritten letter. FIVE years ago she asked us to take over Fawn's care when she passed away. We appreciated that she wanted to have a plan in place considering a large portion of our pups come into rescue when their owners die. We of course let her know we would take in Fawn and find him the home he deserved when the time came. Years passed and we never heard anything. To be honest, we had debated throwing away the letter. But for whatever reason, we kept it around. Well, back in July, his sweet owner passed away. Her church knew to contact us and Fawn came into our care.

We are looking for a forever home for Fawn that will allow him time to adjust. Allow him to be an antisocial roommate if you will. In the meantime, Fawn is happy and sleeping at his foster's home. Please send us an email with any additional questions hcpapdogs@hotmail.com
