FAT BOY's Story

Meet Fat Boy—a big, handsome bundle of love looking for a fresh start! At 4 years old, this gentle giant has spent his whole life in one home and was recently surrendered to us when his family became homeless. Now he’s ready to share his heart (and his famous hugs) with a new forever home. Fat Boy is the perfect mix of playful and chill. He splits his time between indoors and outdoors, making him the ideal companion for both couch cuddles and backyard adventures. House-trained and crate-trained, he’s already mastered “paw,” “lay down,” and—get ready for this—he’ll give you a hug if you ask! Fat Boy is a true family pup. He’s been a superstar with kids (both toddlers and school-aged) and gets along great with other dogs and even cats. Whether he’s making new friends or just soaking up the sun, Fat Boy’s gentle, loving personality shines through. He might be a little shy at first, but give him a moment, and you’ll discover a playful, affectionate best friend who’s always ready for a game or a snuggle. If you’re looking for a loyal companion with a heart as big as his smile, come meet Fat Boy at the shelter (430 Bristol Dr., Statesville, NC)—he’s ready to fill your home with love, laughter, and the best hugs ever! ??
