Fargo's Story

Fargo is an adorable little 11 pound Pomsky who is currently 19 months old. When he first came into rescue, he was extremely skeptical about people and hiding behind his 2 brothers, Montana and Dakota. We split the boys which seems to have made a world of difference in little Fargo's self esteem. He is a very happy little chap who loves cuddles, kisses and treats. He is learning to walk on a slip lead and in making good progress and just recently had his neuter and a dental which went very well. We don't expect Fargo to get any larger than he currently is, but putting on a pound or pound and a half wouldn't be bad for him. He is a lovely size to pick-up and go places with although he is still skeptical of strangers. Once he knows you and trusts you, he is beyond devoted. Because he doesn't necessarily like to be rushed, we would not recommend placing him in a home with small children who may not respect this about him. Older children who understand not to rush him would be absolutely fine. Fargo is a bit more quiet than his brothers. While they are eager to let you know when anything is attacking the house ( e.g. squirrel, postman, strong gusty wind, etc.), Fargo is more sedate. If he gets frightened you may hear a low growl and that is when he is looking for you to scoop him up and cuddle him as he thinks that is absolutely the best course of action. If you truly want a companion pet, little Fargo may be the right fit for you. Please email iPAWinc2022@gmail.com for an applicaton.
