FANNY's Story

Fanny is a 15 week old F1 Standard Goldendoodle. She and her brother came to us when she was too old to sell. Like with any mix we don't know how big she will get but the Golden was 70 pounds and the Standard Poodle, 65 pounds so we expect that she will be large.

Fanny is super smart, very sweet and a chill puppy. She gets along with everyone and everything.

Star-Mar Rescue is a natural care provider and adopts to those that follow this level of care or those who are eager to learn. We feed a species appropriate diet, do not randomly vaccinate, do not use toxic chemicals for flea, tick and heartworm protection. We do not use chemicals on our lawns or in our homes. Our mission is to protect without harm.

Fanny's adoption will require a fenced area that leads directly from the living area of the house that is large enough for her to run and play as an adult dog. She will need someone that is not working away from home a typical 8 hour work day; someone who works from home, works part time or is retired. Another playful dog would be super.

Fanny would be good with children over 7. She is not a puppy biter. She is doing well with crate training and great with house training. She is learning to play with toys and so far, does fine with appropriate things to chew. She loves her Earth Animal No Hide chews.

We adopt within a hour and a half from Wooster, OH which includes Columbus and Cleveland OH. Step one is a phone call. Step two is an application, three is a visit to see Fanny at her foster home. Step four is a home visit to the potential adopters with Fanny. We stay for a short time and then will leave her for about an hour before taking her back to her foster home. Step five is the adoption where the adopters come to the foster home. This way when Fanny leaves us she is going with someone she already knows to somewhere she has already been. We have found this to be the least traumatic and most respectful way to transfer our Stars.

Fanny is a darling little puppy who came to us well socialized, clean and healthy. Not the norm.

If you are interested please contact Martha at 330-466-3667 or email at learymjri@aol.com. Please note that applications are not on line and will be sent after initial contact.
