FALINE's Story
Meet Faline! This beautiful 1-year-old girl was found as a stray on 2/4/26 and is now ready to start the next chapter of her life with a loving family. Faline can be a little unsure when meeting new people at first, but she warms up quickly once she realizes you’re a friend. A patient adopter who is willing to let her settle in at her own pace will quickly see the sweet, affectionate dog she truly is. Because Faline likely spent time on her own before arriving at the shelter, she would benefit from continued basic obedience training using positive reinforcement. She’s a smart young dog who will thrive with guidance, consistency, and encouragement. Faline has been introduced to a few dogs by staff and did well greeting them. Her greeting style might look a little off-putting at first, but that’s just her unique way of saying hello! She did nicely with calmer dogs and showed a lot of interest in the dogs who were running around playing. She can be a bit of a bull-dozer during play, so we kept her on leash, but she may enjoy a home with another playful dog who can match her energy. As a young and active pup, Faline will benefit from both physical and mental exercise. A 6-foot fence may also be helpful to give her a safe space to stretch her legs and burn off energy. Faline would do best in a home with kids 10+ and with adopters who are willing to help her continue building confidence by introducing her to new people and experiences slowly. With a little patience, guidance, and love, Faline has all the potential to grow into an amazing companion. ??
