Faith's Story

Faith came to DHPR on 8/29. She was only about 5 weeks old and had been found in a trash bag. :( She had injuries from abuse, fleas, worms, etc. Her little life had started out rough. That was then. After vet visits, medicine, a lot of love and care, she is now a healthy, happy, beautiful little puppy! She weighs around 8 lbs and isn't expected to get much larger than that.
From her foster:
Faith is just the sweetest dog. This little pup loves blankets, being warm and cuddly, and her favorite treat is peanut butter. Next is carrots.
Her ears are everything, her eyes are beautiful, and her fur is such a gorgeous blend of color.
She is 100% crate trained, potty trained, and is doing well on the leash.
She loves to explore so a fenced in yard would be preferred. She loves to play and can self-entertain with her toys and bones forever.
Faith wants to be by your side so will follow you around but is also fine to go nap in her crate or bed without any problem.
She is quiet but also is a fun ball of energy when she wants to play. She rarely barks and just genuinely wants to be with you and enjoy being a puppy. She also loves to be held and loves a good sweater.
Faith would thrive with a family and she loves the kids and her foster kids love her too. Children must be very well mannered and understand the territory of a little dog. The foster home she is in has two kids 6 and 8! Perfect ages for Faith assuming your kids are very tolerant and understand a puppy's needs.
Overstimulation for Faith would have her regress. She needs a calm family. Routine and stability will be number one priority for little Faith.
Whoever adopts her truly has a special one.

**Breeds are a best-guess***
***If you are interested in adopting Faith, please fill out an application available on Destination Home Puppy Rescue's Facebook page or via the "More About Us" button on this page.***
***We only adopt to homes/families in NC and SC***
