FAITH's Story

Currently in a boarding facility in Chestnut Ridge, NY and looking for a foster or adopter!

Faith is an approximately 8-year-old, 56-pound girl who has been through more in the past few months than any dog should, but now she's finally feeling better and showing everyone what a smart, loving dog she is!

Faith came to us after almost being euthanatized at the shelter. and desperately needing medical care. She had been suffering from a severe urinary tract infection that caused painful, life-threatening bladder stones. Thankfully, Faith underwent a successful cystotomy to remove the stones and recovered beautifully.

Faith is affectionate, intelligent and eager to please. She already knows commands including sit, down and paw, and what she seems to enjoy most is simply being near her person. After everything she has experienced, she deserves some stability and a warm, loving home. It breaks our hearts to think of her bouncing from the shelter, to the veterinary hospital, and now to boarding when we just want to see her in someone's living room. Do you have a living room for Faith? We don't even know if she has ever even been in one...

If you have a quiet space and are willing to give this sweet girl a little time, patience and consistency, please consider Faith. She is dog friendly, being around many dogs in boarding but we do recommend a meet & greet if you have a dog. To our knowledge, Faith has no experience with cats.

If you can open your heart & home to dear Faith, please contact AmsterDog by call/text at 917-689-8414 or by email at info@amsterdog.org. Apply to foster or adopt Faith at AmsterDog.org/application.

Thanks for caring about a pet in need!
