Evie's Story

Meet Evie
Evie is a fun, affectionate 3.5-month-old puppy who we believe is a Shepherd/American Staffordshire Terrier mix. This little girl is a true cuddle bug-she loves being held and is happiest when she's right by your side.

She's just starting to learn basic commands and already has "sit" down. Evie is doing wonderfully with crate training at night, usually only waking once to go potty before settling right back in. She's typically very quiet and only lets out a bark when she's in her play area and can't reach her people.

Evie gets along great with other dogs and has happily interacted with a Yorkshire Terrier, Husky, and even an English Mastiff. She loves to run, play, chew her toys, and of course cuddle. She's also very interested in the cat and would likely do well with a playful, confident kitty.

If you're looking for a sweet, loving puppy who enjoys both playtime and snuggles, Evie may be your perfect match.

Save Monroe Strays's Adoption Policy
Thank you for your interest in adopting from us! We are an all volunteer, 501c3 animal rescue in southeast Michigan. Our mission is to place all of our animals in loving, permanent homes. You are not purchasing a pet from us; you are adopting a living, breathing, creature that deserves safety, love and care. Your answers on the application are assurance to us that the animals we care for are going to good, permanent homes. All of the information on the application is confidential. Feline adoption fees - $125 for kittens under 8 months, $100 if over 8 months, and $60 if over 9 years old. Canine adoption fees - $350 for puppies under 1 year, $300 if over 1 year, and $200 if over 7 years old. Foster-to-adopt and Adoption fees are non-refundable. We do not use a first-come, first-serve process when adopting out our animals. Instead, we focus on best fit for each individual animal. The process is intended to ensure a long-term successful adoption for both the family and pet. Dogs can live 10-15 years, and cats can live 15-20 years, so please make sure your lifestyle allows the time, patience, and ability to cover expenses your new pet will need over the years. Will you be travelling frequently, moving soon, or having children? Responsible pet ownership includes as-needed and routine veterinary care, quality food, preventatives, and other supplies. You must be at least 21 years old to adopt. All of our adoptable animals have had a complete veterinarian checkup. Our dogs and puppies are heartworm tested. All of our animals are spayed/neutered, dewormed, and have received age-appropriate vaccines before going to their forever homes.
