Everest's Story
Meet Everest—a delightful terrier mix, about 2½ years old, who’s ready to find her forever home! Weighing in at a healthy 40 pounds, this smart, playful girl sports a gorgeous solid white coat and a whole lot of personality. She’s spayed, up to date on vaccinations, and already house-trained, so she’s got the basics down pat.

Everest does best as the only dog in the home or in a household where she can confidently be the true alpha. She’s not one to share leadership duties, and she thrives when she doesn’t have to negotiate her status with other dogs. With people, though, she’s affectionate and loyal once she feels secure. She gets along well with cats and enjoys her human companionship very much.

When meeting dogs from a distance, Everest can be cautious and vocal, especially on leash. She may bark or pull at first, but with calm handling and clear guidance, she settles and refocuses. She’s enthusiastic about walks and loves exploring the world with her person by her side.

Everest is still building confidence around men, so a female or mixed-gender household with patient male family members would be ideal. She also does not tolerate being crated, so she’ll need a home where she can have free access to a safe, comfortable space rather than being confined.

This energetic girl needs daily exercise to keep both her body and brain happy—think long walks, active playtime, and room to stretch her legs in a secure yard. A home that can channel her enthusiasm into routine activity and structure will help Everest truly shine.

If you’re looking for a loyal, confident companion who knows what she wants and is ready to bond deeply with her people, Everest may be your perfect match.
